took my BRZ out this weekend for its first canyon/mountain run as it reached 1000 miles...

Stopped at the Junction Cafe, which is a popular biker and cyclist stop on the backside of Mt. Hamilton.

Then continued on up to the peak of Mt. Hamilton, the tallest mountain (4196 ft) overlooking Silicon Valley.

At the peak is Lick Observatory, which was built in the 1880s by the University of California. Sorry for the crappy cellphone pic.

panorama:

The roads up to the peak are a fantastic drive, and very scenic.

Sydney Harbour Bridge

Went scouting with a mate for some places around the harbour to take 86 glamour shots. Found the perfect spot in a small car park on the north shore, but by the time we'd found the place, it was the wee hours of the morning and they'd turned out the lights on the bridge (damn hippies). So we had to go back the following night - but I think the result was worth it.

Awesome thread by the way.

Cornelius Moore Field, Cedartown, GA

This was taken at a small airport in NW Georgia, primarily the home of Skydive Georgia. I'm told its a great jump spot if you are into that. I have no affiliation with them, but I have heard good things.

I was driving by a couple of days ago and pulled in just to see if anything was going on. No jumpers that day, but I couldn't help but take the opportunity to take a photo...

Alright, I'll play. Weather was overcast and this probably isn't an angle people are used to seeing.
