Not planned. Boxer engine is low but crash safety standards require a tall'ish bumper for pedestrians etc... Engineers have A LOT of things to work thru. Then they have to work with the designers to put together an eye pleasing design you'll actually buy.

It ended on Friday. I wouldn't expect any solid dyno #'s until the Holidays.

It's not pissing me off. I want quality, not something rushed to market. Been there. Done that. Learned my lesson. I'll wait till the dust settles.

Cars can easily be ruined with too much power. AVO kit is very attractive because it keeps near factory levels of reliability without so much power that it overwhelms the car.

Yeah that's why its gonna be a big seller. A majority of people need a little bump and this kit offers it at a affordable price.

Thats just not for me though

Damn, that long? I am really interested in this kit since it is the only PD kit that I've heard anything about. Even if I go with something else I want to see what this setup can bring to the car.

I hope you are wrong.

well it's one of the few kits that wasn't mounted on a car for SEMA which shows they are far behind on the game.

None of the Vortech car's were tuned so it's not that big of deal, they could have stuck this on any car there that wasn't boosted on the show floor.

Perrin took a run at it already, and got +70 HP to the wheels, with a less then optimal tune according to Jeff@Perrin 245Whp..

And the Fan Boi's are already doing their job saying its WORTH it, and hopeing that vendors will cut them a break for helping them price gouge.

6k for those numbers on a TO ME, seems like robbery. I would expect that kind price from TRD.. Actually I would expect it to come in UNDER 6k for TRD with that kind of power..

Being that its NOT TRD and I'm giving up a factory Warrantee, I would knock off 1200 bucks, which from my past experiences is about what TRD would inflate their price, for the TRD badge.

That puts me about $4800 with tune, everything for this supercharger, and I would say that is got some good value at that price point..

Different kits.

This positive displacement SC will not be nearly as efficient as Vortech's centrifugal SC so you wont get the same peak HP numbers at the same psi. (not saying PD SC is shit as it does have its advantages).

Figure Perrin gets 260 WHP at 5 psi with a proper tune. There will be smaller pulleys which will bring the boost up. So figure 300-320 WHP at 9-10 psi. $6k with the tuning and fueling for this performance upgrade is a bit high I think but it's doable considering the simplicity/reliability of the kit and the reputation of the manufacturer.

Innovate's will get less WHP but will be cheaper. Not too much cheaper if you get intercooling and tuning.
