Ran into ninjin on Mt Lemmon this morning. Had a good drive down then we hung out for breakfast. The brz still looks like a very happy vehicle. :P

Dunno if he's gonna make it. I won't because I just spent a lot of money on this car, trying to save some gas money. I'll be up again once I get my Nameless axleback installed.

![]() Just got back from Tucson, Mt. Lemmon was pretty awesome. I'm thinking I'll give the car it's first wash today and head over to Pavilions this evening, anyone else going? |

![]() On a more practical point, I agree with @RedLeader, a repaint will never match the factory job. Were you thinking of doing something different than the original color? |

On a totally different note, Ninjin and I were discussing the feasibility of a bi-turbo setup on this car. For those that don't understand, effectively this would be a parallel turbo set-up, with one turbo for each bank of 2 cylinders.
The idea was, run a pair of headers to each turbo, and the exhaust side of the turbo outputs to a 2.5-3" exhaust and, given enough room, each would have their own full exhaust system from turbo to tips. The intake side would pull in air from two separate intake filters, feed into two separate intercoolers (top mounted seemed the easiest to fit larger ICs) then into the factory throttle body and intake manifold (with the MAF sensor relocated as needed). Also, I'm thinking a diverter valve instead of a BOV, since that seems to be effective on the VW motors and keeps turbo response up by not venting all the air to atmosphere. Obviously, tweaks would be required to balance air flow and the exhaust might have to be combined into a single 3-4" pipe to fit in the exhaust channel of the car. In reality, I don't see why this wouldn't work, response should be better than a single turbo and the ability to run smaller turbos (less lag) while still moving more air (more power) than either would create individually. Thoughts? |
