one has to be realistic,in that most of us drive on city streets, and straight highways to get to where we are going,so the car may "feel" great as a driver, however most of us don't really care about that. most care about dependability, reliability, and economy over time, and yes a vehicle's ability haul people and cargo.this is why the car will always have a limited market. |

Should have made it a Toyota with all the options (shameless sig thread plug, seriously, click it.) numbers would stay up.

I wouldn't worry too much. Scion projected 10k-20k sales in the first year. At this rate, they'll hit their target easily (currently on pace for about 15k sales).
Compare that to a car like the S2000, which sold 7k units in its first full year of sales. |

US (maybe N. America but that isn't specified in the OP).
not to nitpick but the FR-S is only offered in the US/Canada so it can't be worldwide

I'm hoping for strong sales numbers so the chances of a sub 86 model and a flagship sports car will be more likely. Keep buying those FR-S FT86club

Yep. Numbers are "as intended". Neither Toyota or Subaru have any interest in selling any larger numbers (the Gunma plant cannot support them anyway).

Scion benefited from the return of younger buyers to the marketplace along with new products, posting November sales of 5,606 units, up 57.8 percent over November 2011. Sales of the recently introduced FR-S remain strong at 1,350 units.

Do you guys think the FR-S/BRZ will ever be popular as a CIVIC or a TC? I HOPE to God that I won't see an FR-S/BRZ every minute while I'm driving. I like the feeling of having people turning their heads =P.
