compatible with what sorry> the 7443 are dual filament so they would be the way to go.

I bought a set of chrome bulbs for my civic back when. The output was so god awful I had to ditch them. Hopefully these are better but I got them from the same place.

Mine are dimmer than stock. I see myself spending the 50-60 bucks on good dual stage led turn signals up front and amber LEDs in the rear

compatible meaning will they work for the FR-S? since the manual states 7444 and not 7443.

Oh sorry! that is my mistake. If the manual says 7444 that is what it is. I just typed the wrong number and never caught my mistake.

I really do not like the parking light function of the front turn signals anyways, so getting the single filament 7440 bulb instead of the dual filament 7444 seems like an easy way disable the parking lights.

But I read somewhere that getting the single filament instead of the dual filament "was not recommended". Did they say this because it will could cause electrical damage to something, or is it not recommended because of safety concerns?? (it makes your car harder to see blah, blah, blah)

Because if it won't cause any harm I am definitely going to get the stealth 7440 bulbs, my brother has them on his tC2 and although the light output is a slightly worst than stock during the day, at night it looks perfect, and its cheaper and easier than getting LEDs. Aslo he dosen't have any parking lights/ DRL's and hasn't had any problems with people not seeing him.

i used 7440's at first and they worked fine. however, i liked the turn signals running so i switched the 7443's. i don't see any problem with running 7440's because they only work when you initiate the turn signals anyway, so i don't see any real issue with potential overheating or what not. there just isn't enough use of the bulbs for anything to go wrong imo.
