I second this plus I would def need to see some gains for that price like someone else said 1,100 is a lot of other parts plus exhaust.

The exhaust sounds quite good (drove an FR-S with this exhaust) but I don't like the weird-shaped exhaust tips or the fact that they don't stick out far enough from the bumper. I'm leaning towards a Perrin or HKS exhaust, personally.

I'm buying American. Right now it would be Nameless or Perrin but I'm waiting to see what is on the market with 3" piping when I go turbo

Take my ramblings with a grain of salt, as I have never driven a bone stock FR-S, but the model I drove had a bunch of TRD parts (including this exhaust) on it. If these really are 200 horsepower cars from the get go, then I am going to assume power gains are minimal. In terms of noise, it's quiet at idle, and at no point was it loud (even at 5000+rpm @ WOT). Just sounds deeper. I have heard/seen a stock FR-S exhaust, and compared to that, you would actually be able to hear this exhaust.

Those interested in the USA TRD exhaust I've been told Monday is when you will be able to order the exhaust and than it usually ships to the dealership within a day

I'd like to bump this by saying: yes, this exhaust can sound good.

However, the vast majority of the time it's boomy and resonates at a frequency that can be politely described as "annoying as hell." This is coming from a guy whose weekend fun car has a 3" catback with 16" resonator and Magnaflow on a 2.4L NA motor, so I have some experience with annoying as hell exhausts.

No thanks, pass. Even the salesman was complaining about it.

Also, the installed price is something was $1,495 at the dealership I went to.

wow 1495 eww. hell no, and for gains its a 2.0 N/A youll get 5 hp at best. at top end. not wroth it at all imo.

i like the sound of the Invidia N1 but im sick of companies making giant fart cannon mufflers make something clean for once.
