Looks great - almost exactly how I was planning on masking. Did you prime first then paint black or just use the black satin paint? I've also got the angel rings but still not 100% if I'll put them in...

Thanks! I had to make a call between what would be ideal look on the masking vs. what lines I was comfortable masking and have it come out right. if that makes sense. I like how another guy just left a chrome ring but I wasn't comfortable masking a circle like he did. also I thought i wanted a little more chrome. I like the halos if they look right and look factory. I was going for a "could have been factory" look. I would recommend some sort of trim around the morimoto projector and researching those projectors to get a good and perfect cutoff. I still have some glare which I'm dissappointed in but i thought they were gonna be perfect out of the box. I used VHT high temperature black satin wheel paint without primer just cause the surface was clean as mentioned in the DIY.

Thanks again guys. I think the color contrast on the white car is what it needs. Like tinted windows, lighting, etc. Black and chrome is a tough combination to beat for sure but I think the headlights can definitely be improved upon for any color. What would look good on Black? Stock? would you change anything? |
