Lol, this was actually a pretty excellently prepared Sandwich at a local Thai place. It was really quite tasty!


Although, now that you mention it, Tofu Sandwich sounds like one of the many horrible creations that dorm cafeterias would create...

Oh that's a surprise.

Yea the name "stir fry tofu sandwich" sounds exactly like something the cafeteria would concoct. I'm imagining the extremely hard crumbly tofu that they tend to use, mixed with a bunch of things giving it a yellow color, creating a flavorless mass...

I was before the remaster, and will be soon when I finish some training. It depends, obviously. During peace time the number of openings will be fewer. My dad had an opportunity to go E-5 after 3.5 years, he was a Specialist(I think). I know the Air Force and Medical corp tend to get pretty crowded with little opportunity for promos.

Probably just a difference in rank and structure, US military is pretty big with room for promos. Plus we have 8 ranks for sergeant and only 4 for non-officers.

By during war I meant if everyone else was dead a guy might get promoted faster. Our promotion time line is 30 months to get the first hook to be a private trained, 48 months to get the second hook to be a corporal, then minimum one year in rank for master corporal, and another year in rank for sergeant. Any one and, only one, rank can be accelerated by up to a year if the person is outstanding at their job and has all other qualifications for the promotion.

No, it's not true. It's just funny because most of what we see them doing makes it seem true. I posted a video in the YouTube thread where an officer had a momentary brain fart. Ive already been charged for decisions I've made, twice. But in the end, the charges were fairly minor compared to the crap an officer has to deal with. (If your looking for it, it's the last video I posted there. IIRC)

With easy access of tablet, I refused to see my phone besides dialing or doing something simple like calculators. Reading web pages is a pain in the butt that you need to squint your eyes to make out the small words. Totally not worth it.

First off, I'll say it all comes down to personal lifestyles. I don't everyone suited for need of a tablet, almost like cell phones.
So I wouldn't care too much to carry a laptop or tablet around with me on the daily. I may only find a tablet useful to go on internet, but I could also do this with a laptop, which lays on my lap and has a keyboard vs a tablet. Sure its a hell of lot easier to use a laptop or tablet devices over a cell phone too, but even those are starting to get bigger and act as a mini tablet or laptop themselves. And I don't really need a smart phone or should I say I don't really make it apparent to myself that I'm dependent on them, because I'm not.
I've used tablets before on business and found they could be useful. I could mainly see them helpful in retail, marketing, some restaurants, or courier/shipping businesses. So, imo, anyone else who has a tablet just has them to show off or for leisure.

Try to keep your head though. It will help you avoid bumping into things while running. You don't want to end up like all those other brainless guys trying only to get head later in life. Wait...
