Borla UEL headers for my 2.5 RS were like $350 shipped.
For my 2.5 RS, Borla UELs + test pipe + Stromung catback = boxer heaven. Loved that exhaust. Borla makes a good product.

Both of them sound really good. The EL sounds more like a proper race car, but the UEL sounds particularly nasty. I would be happy with either. Just need a bit of rich overrun backfire, and it would be perfect.

EL FTW! Thats the sound I'm after. Now add 150hp to that with lightweight crank pulley and flywheel +9000 rpm redline and I'm there.

sound quality is horrible lol but gotta love that UEL.
You can only truly hear what they sound like when the car is in the distance. They both definitely sound good though. |

The el makes it sound like a Honda, not a ricey Honda but Luke a b series dohc vtec with a nice exhaust system. Doesn't sound bad but if I wanted a car that sounded like a Honda I'd have bought a Honda you know? I like the boxer rumble so uels please

EL sounds fantastic!
UEL sounds too much like a Tiger Moth. |

I love the sound but it'll depend on cost for me.
Also, aftermarket MFGs: If you're going to sell exhaust over the internet, you NEED serious microphone and camera set up. It is to marketing what a good welder is to fabrication. You neeeeeeed both. Ideally, they would ALL get the same freaking camera so you could have some honest comparisons. Last edited by Ingen; 12-27-2012 at 03:15 PM. |
