That's the setup I ordered and plan to run MX72 all around. I also run this setup on my non-Brembo 2008 350Z Track/Drift/Street car and love it!

For the other car I ordered the Ferodo DS2500 all around, I'll make sure to give a fair review of the two during street/autox use. I expect we'll be swapping out to the AP C300 for track days with R-Comps in the front, will most likely leave the MX72 and DS2500 in the rear at first to see how that works.

A bit off-topic, sort of... Why doesn't anyone mention Performance Friction, Hawk or Porterfield pads? No good?

I've only had experience with Hawk, Cobalt Friction, and Project Mu so while i've heard of Ferodo and Endless I really have no first hand experience with them. Would love a sidebar conversation about the differences you guys have experienced. Thanks much.

Yes, we recommend the same compound front and rear as a good starting point.

03Z33,
I believe your systems are going out today.

soon as you get the rear Ferrodos let me know, can paypal or give credit card as soon as u can ship
thanks!
One of my sales guys will call you for your payment info, and we'll get you on the list. Thanks!

A few other answers to questions I saw but haven't addressed:

1. Formula road kits- I don't have any further updates at this time.

2. Endurance Systems- Yes, we've had a few orders for the Endurance System. We're still manufacturing the production version of the two-piece brackets with integrated ducting. They are really cool, and I'll post more details as soon as the production parts are in my hands...maybe 2 weeks or so?

I left the stock fluid in for the first day. I wanted to see how it would fair. I boiled the shit out of it, but it only took about 750mL of Super Blue to replace it and get the gas bubbles out.
After the second day I had the pads all the way down, but they wore very unevenly (inner/outer wear was similar, but on the same pad I had a hell of a wedge going).
This was on VIR South, a roughly 1.5 minute course with 4 braking zones per lap. And this was with VSC in sport mode both days!
They probably lasted that long because I was still on stock tires, but I'm not yet convinced of the necessity for an expensive total brake system upgrade.
Wishful thinking perhaps...
Mike2100...something to consider: Sometimes your brakes actually take more abuse if you leave vehicle control systems on. This is something that is very common with my Corvette customers. Those who leave VSC turned on in some manner typically have premature pad wear (or whatever the given manufacturer calls it...active handling, VDC, DSC, PSM, etc). Various manufacturers use different methods to keep a car in line. Some cut spark, hit the brakes for the driver, etc. On the vette we see much greater rear pad wear among those who leave active handling turned on. The control system uses brakes to keep the car from yawing/oversteering. It pulses hits on the inside rear brakes to do so. If the system is constantly stepping in on the track, then you can imagine how much more frequently the brakes are being applied...both intentionally by the driver, and by the car trying to help the driver do what it thinks the driver is trying to accomplish.

I'm not yet familiar with the VSC on the FT86, but I'd be really curious to see back-to-back pad wear on cars running on track with the system fully disengaged, vs. having it turned on in some manner. Just something to keep in mind.

There's a different thread for that discussion...which brake pads? Comparing compounds would probably be most appropriate there.

Also, I'm happy to answer any comparative questions, etc. We only sell certain brands, but I have tons of customer feedback about other brands on other platforms, etc. Also, I've probably driven at least 50 pad compounds over the past 13 years on the street and track. Feel free to PM me.

Yeah that's the point I was trying to make. The pads lasted 2 days and i had no leaks even with VSC on sport mode and on a short course that is hard on brakes.
