Ugh, car got keyed today

So.. parked my car dt for like 30 minutes... and came back after some squash to wash my car. Got my bucket prepped with soap, come out and see this, and was pretty upset, so ended up not washing the car -_-.

Think it's around $500-1000 in repairs, gonna see what my dealer says.

/rant

was keyed pretty deep, ain't no buff gonna save this beauty. (passenger rear quarter panel, near gas cap)

sorry for your lost, i hope the hater will get karma back on him/ her

but are you sure it was not caused by fuel gun accident? I thought it is a very weird hand motion if someone keyed it purposely - usually just a straight line.

Hopefully you find who did it, and cut off their arms.

That sucks but $1,000,000 seems steep. I'd try to get a quote that doesn't involve launching your car into orbit.

I'm sorry, but if I could make a rule for this kind of behavior it would be a public surgical scalpel to the face. At least when I meet someone I know who I'm dealing with.

This is one of the reasons why I hate people...

Sorry that this happened. Hopefully the guy will get his own in the future.

From the pattern I would guess they mad a quick jab at the paint from top to bottom. This would explain the decreasing depth at the bottom of the motion. Similar to how tire marks are darkest at the start of a burnout and lightest and the end.

No idea!

The shit's really deep..

Minimum I would spend is $500, and considering my paint was +2k from the start, it's gonna cost me another arm..

I would estimate including what they told me $500-$1000 easy.

Going to wait till lease end, and see what the pre-inspector says, they did say that there is a "If the body damage is within a credit card, there is a no-charge" for the first damage" but i don't know if that covers this deep to metal, lol.

Guess I'll be driving with a scar for a bit!

Get touchup paint, fill it in, place suran wrap over the paint till it dries, buff it out, good as new

I hate when this happens.

It doesn't matter if someone drives a Lamborghini or a fricking '94 civic, keying their paint is an azzhole move, every time.

I'm with the folks saying it doesn't really look like a key per se, but whatever it is

Damn, that sucks! Someone key'd my old GSR back in the days and I almost went ape shit in the parking lot. Karma will catch up to them sooner or later.

At least fill it with touch up paint since it went down to the metal.
