Quoting from http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8739 : the TRD coilovers are 3.5k front (vs 3.0k std) and 5.8k rear (vs 3.3k std), which is quite interesting.

I wonder how much you can lower the 86 with TRD coilovers before having to compensate and make adjustments?
I wouldn’t take those figures as gospel. Our local springs rates are 2.32kg from and 3.75kg rear, not 3kg and 3.3kg And there is nowhere that confirms the TRD springs rates. It is a figure on the internet with no source to back it. I have been trying to find out the actual TRD spring rates for about 6months, and have had NO LUCK.
Tada san has said that 15-20mm is best for lowering it, anymore than that and it will affect your handling. I will be lowering 20mm only.

I’d rather not say how much I paid for them, but it is easy enough to get quotes by contacting vendors

Doh should've read the "OEM Scion FR-S M/T" specs!

Surely someone out there has tested the TRD springs for springrate? Oh well, let us know how they ride in comparison to standard

Not that I can find anywhere. Old mate in that thread coudln't give a source as to where he got that info, that's why I am not taking it as 100%
Will definitely let everyone know how they ride. All aprts required for fitment should be here midweek

Certainly have. I like it. It was a bit odd at first with the concave top, but now that I am used to it, I like it

I've got the TRD, Standard, and a Moddiction Anvil 2

I think the TRD will be better as the box breaks in (or some better gearbox oil) but as it sits now the extra weight of the standard knob or the Moddiction make it smoother.

I have only used standard and TRD. I ahve a few more k's on my car though, so my gearbox has probably loosened upa little more than yours

True that - I quite like the "feel" of the TRD knob and the fact it's slightly shorter is a good thing.

TRD Suspension isn’t fitted yet as I literally only just received the strut tops yesterday. I am at work for over 11hrs a day, so I really haven’t had time to fit them since yesterday.
Probably won’t get a chance to fit the stuff until December now, as I fly out to Japan in 1 week for a month. Lots to organise before then.
