I feel like for lrp i would need breaks an tires over stock.

Depends on the thread left on your tires, the track and how hard you brake.

If your tires are running low on thread then yes I recommend changing them. Otherwise stock tires are fine. I have done 5 track days with them and have plenty of thread left. They are loud and don't have much grip but that is actually a good thing if you are a beginner.

For brakes, just to be safe, I recommend flushing the brake fluid with a high temp fluid (I use Motul 600) and put some basic racing pads (Ferodo DS2500?) on the front brakes (oem pads are fine on the back). Just FYI, an experienced racer friend of mine took a bone stock FR-S (no pad or tire change) to the track (NJMP Lightning) and it took 4 track sessions until the brakes started fading terribly.

Haven't done lead follow before. In the HPDE, you have an instructor with you in the car. He teaches you the proper line and technique while you drive. You run at your own pace with others at your level on the track. Each driving session lasts 20-25 mins. Passing is only allowed on the straights and a point-by is required (see http://www.nasaproracing.com/hpde/passing.html).

It was a great turn out and the pix look amazing!

FISHEK I'm definitely interested in a track for next season. I live in the area so we can definitely plan a meet for anybody that is interested. They also have go-kart days and endurance races, a lot of cool stuff for anyone that is interested.
