@RRnold, let the cry babies have their for bottle now. Lakers are too spoiled and can never measure up to the Celtics legacy. Carrying over championships from another city/state, will let them amuse us and the rest of the league and let them keep on trying. Ahaahaaaahhaaa.......... seriously though this league still manages to keep things interesting, even if its 2 years away in the future.

They are a franchise so why wouldn't it count if they move from a different city/state? Look how many teams have moved throughout the entire NBA and ABA so to say that a championship shouldn't count b/c they moved or changed their name is a wee bit retarded.

If the Celtics had to move, I would acknowledge the championships they have won and wouldn't be a clean slate.

IMO, if the Celts ever moved then that would be it. Its a start over, a new slate, or turning of a new leaf. They would, hell I would, start from scratch all over again and that's that or don't move you're team at all.

I don't see OKC acknowledging Seattle now and why would they. The Sonics made it clear they wanted their history to stay in Seattle. So if you ask me the Thunder and the Sonics did it right, everyone else is pretty retarded.

And I don't really have an opinion on the Nets recent move though, since NYC and Jersey are pretty similar, but they should probably start over as well. I could see Hov doing that.

So to make things perfectly clear, there's nothing wrong remembering your roots.

Even though they are in a new city with a new name and new uniforms, I still see them as the Supersonics that moved out of Seattle. I have a few buddies who grew up as Sonics fans who were rooting for OKC.
