I know, also 130mph on the highway is pretty stupid but disregarding that...

your earlier post where you said your FRS could "hold its own" against a 530i and 135i made it seem like you thought your car could actually keep up, at least that's the way I interpreted it. If that's not what you meant, then I'm sorry for misunderstanding.

I should have known that literal interpretations vary among observers:happy0180:

And 130mph in any "other" car would be stupid..but consider i leave for work at 430am,when the traffic and police are non existent.

Nothing handles like these cars, not without a ton of money thrown into the suspension. My only gripe is the 137mph limiter. This car could handle 150mph on stock suspension and upgraded tires IMO.

nope 130 on public roads is stupid regardless. beside, the same things that make this car fun at 35mph is what makes cars like this dangerous at 135mph. its the same reason that this forum can say things like the vette and mustang feel dull. they have to feel dull at 50 because they have to handle 150

That's good stuff right there. Do you write your own material?

I do believe that when drag racing you would want to shift near peak power (7K) since power actually drops off after 7K.

Either way I'm kind of suprised on this one. Considier stock the RX-8 is barely faster than a RSX Type S and I raced my friends Type S and got him by a car+
You want to shift after peak power is made, or wherever you will have the highest avg hp. Rap it up and on the shift the rpm will put you just under peak hp, increasing the avg hp output.

So it could pay to rap it up to near fuel cut, unless power is dropping way too quickly.

It just seems adversarial. If that is what you are going for - you are doing a great job. Please take this as friendly and constructive criticism (as that is how it is intended). There is nothing wrong with opinions - everyone has them (and they don't always have to be in favour of the car). It would seem that you are trying to convince everyone that the car is crap. Just a reminder - This is a forum for enthusiasts of these cars. In the end, this is a perception and if I am totally off base, then you have my sincerest of apologies. This forum is for open and free discussion and I will cease and desist my rant.

Just saying. Film the FRS accelerating from 60 to 120 and compare.

I didn't know about the turns and that its in the dark. I personally would not risk it in that situation regardless.

i just dont see how saying that a mustang or corvette is more fun at those triple digit speeds while the frs is designed for slower speeds. you dont need to apologize. this guy said that nothing handles like the frs and that its safe to go 130 plus on public roads. i think its important to say that neither of those things are true in the least.

For instance the Mk1 to Mk2 prototype redesign to make it more 'American' and since the American sales division was Scion, what does that mean?

I have to agree with Demandred7, you are a troll. If you are looking for drama, tune into the kardashians instead..

It was "my" opinion that nothing handles like these cars and "I" feel comfortable at 130mph on public roads in my frs,but you twisted it up like a troll.

those are your words. i dont care if you feel comfortable, its not safe to be racing against other cars while "navigating turns" on public roads. its not a matter of opinion, its a fact. that is dangerous.

handling is not a matter of opinion. there are cars that handle similar and better than the frs. especially at 130 mph. its just a fact.

you are entitled to your opinions but these are the facts.
