Overall, I'm pretty disappointed in it. It's shiny though....
Which effects have worn off?

The scratch protection is minimal at best and certainly would never stand up to metal abrading the paint.

Everything. The hydrophobic properties in addition to any scratch resistant properties.

Ohh shit.....how have you been maintaining the Hard Body. I mean what kind of soaps and stuff, I think your suppose to use Wolf's Nano Bath for it.

I use Griot's Garage Paint Sealant. Same chemical as OptiCoat (polymethacrylate) but a lower concentration so it's much easier to apply and not mess up. 6 Month lifetime on the car or so. Rub on, let dry, rub off.

I'll add, though, that I love a good carnuba wax...thin coatings to my eye make the reflections look silvery; waxes make reflections look more colorful. Maybe it has to do with coating depth, waxes being thicker and rougher on top?

Yup, that was the first thing I ordered. Came in a cute tiny bottle.

Not only that, but I never touch dried the car. Always air blown, whether it be via a compressor or highway.

Griots paint sealant is nothing like opti coat/guard. It's an acrylic based sealant and is actually klasse's paint sealant from Germany. Opticoat/guard is a prepolymer ceramic resin that's a continuous film on the surface with a covalent bond making it permanent.

FYI coatings are much thicker then any wax, it's actually measurable in microns where waxes or sealants are not. But like you I love the look of a quality Nuba, although some of the coatings on certain paints are hard to beat looks wise.

Interesting, where did you get the wolfs nano shampoo from? Detailers domain is the only authorized seller in the US and it comes in a liter jug

https://www.detailersdomain.com/mobi...asp?itemid=543

My wife's bmw is going on 4 months w hard body. Here is a pic, 10 days since last wash and sat out overnight in the rain.

Ok my dealer uses trident. Its about 650 and sounds almost identical to opti based on the descriptions listed here and the one they described to me. Their trident though comes with a lifetime warranty and is also applied to the interior to avoid stains, scratches, rips, burn holes, etc. And that also comes with a lifetime warranty. So if any of that happens its free to get repaired. Now my question is, is it worth 650$

I regularly always try to clean my car inside and out but on the other hand I do have a dog...small beagle but a dog none the less. Also has anyone ever heard of trident?

The only other condition that will effect the wolf's hard body is curing time upon application. Wolf's does require a 12 hour cure without being exposed to any moisture after application. Not sure if that was a factor for you or not.

Nope. I let it sit in the garage for 2 days before taking it out.
