im not trying to sound like a douche but your over thinking things. if someone had a "thing" for my woman and was serious, they would stalk my every post and show up at every meet i was attending hoping to catch a glimpse of her or maybe even to follow me home.

most "creeps" fixate on a certain girl and its one they know. rarely do they pick a random one from the interwebs. most rapes are opportunity.

You have good intentions. And I do get what you are saying even tough I have another view point at this case.
It is almost like saying that people should not post pictures/show off of their cars, home cinema, list of photography gear, watches, etc, etc.. on the internet. Because some insane drug addict might like it enough to want to steal it. And then they would break into your house and that could put your family at risk...
Should girls not wear bikins on the beach because they can get raped? Not posting pictures of your body on say bodybuilding forums? What about all the million teenage girls blogs out there. Posting pictures and sensitive information about themselves? Posting pictures of their friends. What about (party)pictures in general on facebook and sites like that..

I think most people will have it better without being paranoid about rapists and other insane people when posting a picture of their girl on a car forum..

Most people making serious posts here are probably posting pictures of their girl because they are proud of her and want others to see what a lovely girl they have. It is their way of saying: "Hey, this is my girl. I love her and she is the best!"
I think a girl should feel honored if a guy would approach her and say Id like to post a picture of you. Want to show you off to my fellow car enthusiasts..

And since men are men, we like to look at women (especially tits and ass) Nothing wrong with that, its how we are made. Just look at the post/views ratio on this thread to get proof of that..

Body building forums, car forums and other specific subject based forums cater to certain people.

Car forums on the other hand have that handful of sketchy members. We already have some here. You make a valid point on one of your examples. Cars. Have you also notice the theft rate too? I've seen cars that were uploaded to speedhunters, night import and another one I can't think off of my head get stolen.

There are certain things you can post that can be relatively un-trackable. Home cinemas don't display a face you can take on. Or a specific style of car you can go out and look for since there are many people who have the same thing. Unless you post about your house with your address people will not come after you.

And honestly some girls don't feel honored to be idolized by other men. You feel comfortable if you posted a picture about your girl and some guys are imagining themselves screwing her?

You can be really proud of her but don't flaunt her around like a damn trophy toy.

Thank you! This road was Route 9. You can pick rt.9 up at the Air Force base, or in Delaware City. Its runs the coast. There are some beautiful sights of the coast and some cool sites of the nuclear reactor in Jersey. It also runs by A lot of farm fields, Its a fantastic drive on a nice day! There are some nice curveys, straights, etc. There are also no cops, so you just relax and drive.
