A government powerful enough to give you everything, has the power to take everything.

Enjoy the post.

I understand its complicated, but just because it gets through the state level inspections and registration, doesn't mean its legal on the federal level. There was never a crash tested R34 in the US, which is part of the process to legalize imported cars. Therefore all of them are illegal and can and have been seized, with no reimbursement to the owner. Also, an owner was criminally prosecuted a few years ago for telling agents how he had tried to register it.

Thanks, I love the cars. Just don't say its totally legal when its not. I didn't mean to derail the thread.

From your own post you just argued for protecting your ass

Not true

Any R34 that was imported by Motorex before the government shit on them for shady practices are legal as they got grandfathered in. Any non Motorex car is illegal.

Sorry I just remember reading that the Bayside Blue R34 in FnF wasn't a real one but a GT-T that had a bunch of work done to it.

There are a couple of R32 around here that have all R34 body panels on them so I've seen conversions before

http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2011/12/...-eBay-7706555/

Wheels are the same as your pic not trying to knock the car or anything its still awesome. Looks are timeless its just owning a REAL R34 GTR is rare even more so then owning a supercar due to the number of legal examples out there

Either way. Nice look ride but should of keep the bayside blue! such a nice colour

Sorry for the minor derailment.

Forget the 'legal' Skyline.

It's about the shiny Skyline.

That was partially my fault. Sorry.

Why was there blue overspray? Did the Universal guys paint the car Blue themselves?

Not sure might have dripped or something. But it was ALL over the suspension and frame too. This car had like spider webs and crud in it when it arrived.

No, he doesn't work for Universal. He is the technical import consultant for the F&F series.

I wish!! Cali is the most emission strict state and the only possible way of bringing one to CA is to wait past the 25 yr production mark.

Beautiful car! One day, I'll own one!

Might be legal, might not. I'd photoshop out the license plates to protect the owner either way. If I owned a Skyline, I'd be very careful because it doesn't matter if it were "legally" imported or not, the government is snagging these cars and crushing them left and right. We had a technical school nearby that had an R34, gov't took it from them. Another guy had an R33 taken from his driveway by the gov't. Not fun!

Then again, if I owned a Skyline it'd be strictly a track car
