Fair enough, i needed to catch up on sleep anyway. do you have a car scheduled for the e85 map revisioning? if not, is there any chance of getting the non-racerom version to tide some of us over for the meantime (assuming that is still safe)? i'm not sure how much of a hassle that would be, so if it would take too much time don't sweat it.

if me getting a couple hours of dyno time scheduled down here so you can set up a remote session would help just say the word. not in person, but it's the most help i can offer, lol.

just tried to flash the car again and no luck with the ECUpro seeing the car

I'm following the XP installation guide now and just a couple quick questions for you guys

1) how many flash counter are there when you check the flash features?
2) How many programs did the ECUTek Application downloader download?

Just asking as John's pics show 2 flash counters where mine was showing 1 and the guide shows a bunch of other applications that are suppose to be there but I only see Common Files, ProECU and DeltaDash.

Okay I have tried a bunch of times now. uninstalled everything and reinstalled it all no luck. My flash counter is showing 0 now and not the 1 it was before which I'm starting to think is my issue.

After reinstalling the program I am still just seeing it say "No Vehicle Detected" all lights are green but can't find the ECU. If I manually select the car I get "This appers to be part programmed ECU" error message when trying to query the ecu. If I just attempt to program the ECU with either flash this shows up.

You have no programming licenses remaining. You must purchase further licenses from EcuTeK before programming this ECU.
Process Aborted.


I give up! I'm just going to wait for John to refuel himself and give me a shout

I had issues flashing my car as well and am curious how many people with the issues had their ECU reflashed or replaced from the dealer for the CEL SL

The Ecu problem last week can't happen again so don't worry. Ecutek can recover a failed flash... Doesn't matter where it failed it'll recover ..

Failed flashes require a bunch of paper work on my end and new license orders

Still the original ECU

have only had my taillights replaced...twice

@Visconti: First of all, this is not a rush item. I was wondering if we can request autoblip being disabled. I'm so used to heel-toe downshifts and autoblip is kicking in at seemingly weird times. I have adjusted my clutch pedal but I did not move the clutch sensor -- which causes autoblip to rev as soon as any pressure is sensed on the clutch pedal.

I'm loving the other features -- just not autoblip. It's not for me!

Maybe I should add myself to the tail-end of the form you've got going?

That is kind of vague. I'm not sure what you mean by you got 2 files? 2 license files or you mean tunes?

If you meant license files I only have 1 so I can't reset my flash counter.

Do you mind explaing this abit more indepth?

Hey Jay, Sorty to hear you're having car trouble. Believe me, I was there. So, it was mid-tune when the tune stopped suddenly? Was it a battery issue, or something else..

Yeah mid tune I got a error

I don't believe so. Laptop had full battery and car was fine tho I did have my fan on but thats all I can think of thats different from your video and when I did it. only thing I can think of is loose usb connection maybe?

haha I thought I was in the clear when I saw the percentage climbing too oh well just need to wait for @Visconti to give me a call and hopefully I can have the car fixed and go home haha. I really really should of done this at home instead of the office... I blame this thread and all the happy comments that made me jelly

Oh man I did the same thing the other ought while I was at work. I just couldn't wait at all, and it was Pre video from Hawaiian which made me feel even more insecure about doing it. But it all worked out eventually, heart racing from 1%-100.

The good news is that I recall someone else having this happen to them mid-tune and they were able to recover it. I can't guarantee that this will be the same in your case.

I did tether my laptop off my phone and that let John run my laptop remotely while he was checking my computer out.

when you say it wont start.. Is it clicking like my other video?
