Yeah thats what the program said

I saw the progress climb up to 5.xx% before taking my eyes off the screen and talking to my co-worker then looked over and error message

Agreed, that's always another fear when flashing anything or a powerloss

So it was a communication error then. Probably stupid of me to even ask, but you had ignition turned on all the way without starting car ? I also noticed when I connected cable to port on car, that I got my head up under the dash and made sure that it was pushed all the way up until metal tab on cable was locked

Yea key position was set to "ON" without car being turned over.

Clip was fully in so I'm not sure what could of happened on that one. I made sure I actually put my head under and plug in straight from below

I've been e-mailing John and he doesn't think I will need to send in my ECU so thats good news. Only got to wait a couple hours before I talk to him.. good thing we just got a bunch of pizza at work haha

Please keep us updated on your fix, could prove to be helpful for others as I doubt this is going to be the last time this happens

I was one of the members who had to send my ECU to Ecutek. The ROM loaded correctly and then the program asked me to turn off the ignition and then back on. That is when the problem started as the instrument panel started blinking and relays were being tripped and the car wouldn't start. By the way, does anyone know if the regular fuel gauge is controlled by the ECU - mine is acting very strange.

Ok

20 min from home

Haven't eaton since 12 so that's my first order of business.

Then I guess on the phone with failed flash people.

I'm going to make a big push on all this stuff tonight so if you guys stay up ill get everyone with hardware sorted.

The Ecu problem last week can't happen again so don't worry. Ecutek can recover a failed flash... Doesn't matter where it failed it'll recover ..

Failed flashes require a bunch of paper work on my end and new license orders

Soo see everyone back here shortly

John

Pumpgas only, or e85 too? if it's e85 i'm going to stay up and do a late night fuel run, but if not i'll hit the sack early.

ps - if you're ever in richmond, beers are on me.

Just another quick question for everyone... When I plug my flash drive into my computer it lets me run the software fine but if I try to click on the drive on my computer it say that it can't open it and some kind of network error. I had always assumed that was normal because the only software that needs to understand what is on the flash drive is the EcuTek software but I just want to make sure that is normal and not something wrong with my drive?
