Visconti Tuning - Latest BRZ Flash Info

Looks like a John thing if your license is loading but showing 0 flashes available.

Anyone with an aftermarket intake notice any low-RPM/high-load bogging like we did before John addressed it via the tune? Not sure if the ECU is still learning or if that problem managed to creep back in. Put on about 25 miles since the flash.

Just applied my tune. Followed the 1st page and the video. Updated as often as I could.... got a error when trying to flash and now the car won't start at all...

@Laika, John's street tuning GTRs tonight. Which means he's working and most likely has his phone with him. I can't speak for him but in the past he's asked guys to call him if they were having issues with things like that.

Was this towards me? If so, yes it does. It's when I hit program ECU where I realize my dilemma.

That was my biggest fear before flashing tune, but all went well for me. It's not the same fear when your flashing a new rom to your cell or updating a bios on your motherboard. That can be scarey enough in itself, but a car is a different story.

Hope you get this resolved soon

I still say a proper indepth tutorial, a step by step, word for word, pic for pic, would resolve these issues that some are experiencing during flash

Found one done by Perrin, but I don't think it would be very tasteful to post it in here

Wondering if anyone could help me... where should I be able to find the License Update file? The pic just show's directory 67 71 9D which seem to be the Dongle ID?? idk if I'm missing something

I'm probably not the best person to be helping you with this but maybe I can at least put you in the right direction


For me, under my C drive I have a folder called Ecutek and a subfolder called license update (something of this nature) and in this subfolder is the file (.upd?) that you need for the update.

Simultaneously I hope I'm dead wrong about this because that'd explain my issues.

Im kind of in the same boat. after downloading the files and installing the program my license says 0. when i clidk the update license it opens a window for me to select a file yet it shows no said file. yes I saved to a folder on my desktop in case i needed to find the DL files. I have tried to update drives and files many times it runs and searchs but still says its up to date. so if I plug in mu ecutek to my car and plug into my laptop it doesnt show it's even connected. the green light comes on and I have the program running just license number is 0 and wont connect to my laptop. I would call john but dont want to bother him, so any help from you guys would be greatly welcomed.

My lappy would not detect car either until I installed driver, hope this helps...

Thanks for the responses and it sounds like you are in the same exact boat as me... I'll just add that if I connect it to my car and try to open the STG1 Rom it says It's not customized for my car. If I try to open the stock... It brings up a bunch of parameters.

If you're software isn't picking up your car it's a drivers issue. Did you download/install the drivers? It's not exactly part of the instructions on page 1.
