Are Ksport coil overs any good?

Shop in town selling K Sport coil overs installed for $900 seems like a good price but are they worth it? I know K Sport has been around a long time but I have never owned anything from them and I have only seen their products on off road cars and dirt bikes.

You'll get varied responses.

In our experience, the BC Racing kit is the way to go for a Coilover set under $1k.

YMMV. If you want some help.advice on a suspension setup feel free to PM us.

They are OK if you must absolutely have coilovers, but are pretty much the same thing as Megans/D2's ETC. I had D2's on my old S13 and the adjustment knobs rusted into the holes for them. I don't know if they've gotten better over the years, but I'd personally save up some more cash and get something better.

K Sport is unique in the way that you essentially have a different coilover on all 4 corners!

I wouldn't say unique. There are many other coilovers that are the same thing but with different colors and stickers.

If you can only spend 1k max. Get the BC's, at least they dyno each one before they put the kit together.

BCs if you want coilovers for cheap cheap cheap

KSports if you want topunish your car and ruin it then buy/replace the coilovers all over again

P.S. don't buy their big brakes either if you want to live

Thanks I thought they might not be all that great I'm not really hung up on price just thought they might have been a really good deal if they were actually good

Gotta say I agree here. There are tons of WRX and STI guys on BC and are very happy with them for what they paid.

Ha, like there's actually a difference between the two.

If KW launches the ST Speedtech suspension for the FRS/BRZ... I'd go with them. Usually they're about $900-1000 and are the same as V2s IIRC, but they're galvanized steel as opposed to stainless basically the same damping and design but they won't last quite as long ... Which in my experience, most sell the vehicle before the coilovers wear out.

Point being, KW is one of very few manufacturers that did all the research for ON AN FRS/BRZ... not just took off the shelf Impreza stuff and modified it (or just sold it as is) for our cars. So I might wait and see if you can get ST/Speedtech stuff in the future.

I was talking to Lisa@TrueStreetIndustries and she was very up on Fotune-auto Coilover sets. They cost only slightly more than the K spots and when you want to upgrade they will rebuild your set up to you’re the next level or whatever you want. I have not use them but was impressed with what I have seen for the price.
Worth a look at least.
