I see you're in Long Beach OP. As long as its under the 95db limit in CA, you shouldn't get hassled. Unless you're speeding and you'll want to so you can hear it. I've always had an exhaust on my cars/trucks.

I have a muffler delete. Cops don't even notice me except the few that realize what the car is and are checking it out. It's just not that loud.

Loud exhaust taxes are almost exclusively reserved for the evo/impreza/honda crowd, which this car is not viewed as being a part of (yet). Enforcement of those laws has always been specific to vehicle(s), not actual noise - I'm pretty sure somebody in a BMW, Porsche, Mustang, Camaro or such with an open pipe could drive right by a cop, but the second you go by in a "ricer" with anything but dead stock looking exhaust, you'll be pulled over because you might be "street racing".

It's the automotive traffic ticket equivalent of profiling, but no serious legal effort has been put up yet. Probably because the lawyers drive bmw's and porsches, and don't want the law applied equally.

Such Bs. I might as well just get a Lamborghini in the future and make it super loud (louder than it is), since cops will prolly be like "oh yeah he's a millionaire he runs the world. Can't mess with him." *sigh*. Anyways, I'm prolly gonna put on the silencers just for this week cause I'll be seeing the GF and I don't want her to notice a big difference yet...or she'll kill me. Lol. And I'm about to go to Vegas with it. As much as I want a kit, I'm prolly just gonna attract the cops even more.

So I'll just keep it looking clean with all kindsa shit on the inside

pretty much hit it dead on, prime example: I have a 98' GSX which I used to get exhaust tickets all the time when I used to drive it on the street (granted it was loud, but not to loud unless under boost) and up untill I bought my truck, I had a 07' Mustang GT/CS with offroad h-pipe, and muffler deletes, it was by far the loudest car I have ever owned (there have been a few loud ones) never once got a ticket, much less pulled over by po-po.

so yes, there is a bias.

Sometimes you just have to pay a fine and sometimes you have to go back to stock, have the highway patrol inspect it and sign the ticket off. Either way it is not fun. I doubt you would have a problem as long as you are not driving it like a race car or trying to show off your new exhaust. In the end it all comes down to if the cop wants to write you a ticket or not.

Hopefully my ultramarine color will make it look more sophisticated lol. I'm a safe driver never got a ticket or accident. If I need to wear a suit/business attire just so they really leave me alone then I will. Shit. Lol

With just the catback, as I have, I doubt you'll have any problems. I'm contemplating whether or not to get a high-flow downpipe/frontpipe due to noise.

Generally I feel safe so long as i'm not smoking the tires off in front of a cop. I drive by one every day that patrols my neighborhood. He even stopped me(to ask questions about the cool car he had not seen before. ) while he was on foot at the gated entrance to my neighborhood and didn't even seem to notice that the car had an aftermarket exhaust.

Luckily this car looks pretty exotic, so the typical popo will just think it came that way stock.

I have made my own muffler delete which I think is louder then a lot of other exhaust systems. Cops don't even look at me.
