Of course. I'm just trying to say that the amount of attention most manufacturers pay to aero is pretty much zero, beyond the usual rounded off edges and slightly tapered rear end.

I agree that people who rev excessively noisy cars are assholes. There's nothing wrong with a sporty exhaust sound, but intentionally banging off the rev limiter in 1st around town with straightpipes is saying "I'm a **** who likes to piss everyone off with my 130db car".

That's kinda why I want to build a Miller cycle engine, better efficiency, quieter exhaust.

I think I read it somewhere about electric car being too quiet that people were not aware of its presence so the government suggests the manufacturer to add some random noise to inform the pedestrian of incoming vehicle. Maybe some day we will be driving electric cars running on highways and yet with a friendly engine noise to the outside world. If the driver really wants the noise, just put on a headphone.
About the quiet EV cars:

I had a second job at a downtown hotel for a year. Stepped in front of moving Prius taxis 3 times. Thankfully their silent EV-only mode is slow.

I had to wear an earpiece in one ear and there were some very attractive women that worked there, too. So there were other environmental issues. But 3 times, only Prius(es?).

That's a tough gig... Getting and maintaining that job, not to mention usually the pay isn't great. I just moved back last August, I slept 1.75 to 2.5 hrs a day for a few years straight. Too much to do, and not enough time in a day.

Apparently he has a lot of free time. From his fb, he's always taking trips on his bike and whatnot.

Trust me, the drivers here aren't any better when it's dry. Where I live is the most useless mix of city (aggressive) and country (passive) drivers I've ever seen. I swear that is the cause of most accidents here. When it snows, atleast the some people stay home and there's enough room on the roads to have some fun.
