I was really considering getting a personalized tag but thought the colors of the KS tags would clash with my SWP BRZ. I'll wait till they come out with a different design...

Personalized were only $15 in MO. I got 95-LTNG. I wanted KACHOW, but it was taken.

Personalied plates in New Zealand are around $730 US. If you just want a custom plate for your government registration it's still around $250.

Not sure what other personalised plates websites are like but this one produces an image of your plate and then you can choose different plate types and graphics to modify it. Quite a good tool to see what different plates look like but has a 6 character limit.

New Zealand's been pretty slack in their personalised plate laws in the past - allowing plates like ll1ll1 and OQOOQ and S2522S but they're clamping down of it as of this month - they can just cancel your plate on the fly if they don't like it:

Are plates in the US specific to their state? Like can you have the same plate in two different states? Hadn't realised that before. Guess it makes sense as there would be so many cars it'd be hard to make all the plates unique!
