Is that reliable? Cuz I just went to my dealer and they simply said the chirping is normal. They even show me that TSA thing. Is there any way I can contact the TSA cuz my VIN is below that # and I got a car for almost 5 months

I got mine in June and it was in the clear to get fixed.

I suspect 'remove the intake manifold' part of instructions is what's taking up the majority of the time requirement.

I've driven a few hundred miles since the swap, no crickets yet. I'm gonna call this one fixed in my case. If it comes back next spring in the rising temperatures, I'll have to come back and catch up with you guys.

EDIT: Had some random chirps after a had freeway drive. Will post an update.

So did Subaru release their TSB on the crickets yet? Cause I got a reply from my contact along getting my DRLs replaced and he said there was no bulletin on it. And I heard the crickets again after a good spirited drive with my buddy down to a car show about 45mins away and on the way back. Even with these colder temps. Then again the engine was getting revved higher then a normal commute.

Yes, Subaru's TSB has been posted in this thread.

I just started to have the cricket noise (at 7k miles) after I pumped some gas (cant remember which gas station) during a visit in Dallas, TX. My friend came with me noticed it for the first time asked me what is that sound. That was the first time I heard it. You can hear it during idle and cruising. I hope it's just some bad gas. I'm gonna check if the cricket is gone when I fill it up with Circle K gas stattion next to my house. I just got my tail-lights replaced on Friday 10/12/12, I guess I have to come back to see them for the cricket.

So I got my TSB done to correct the crickets and drove from Phoenix to San Diego and back (roughly 700 miles) and no crickets. I do however notice the idle dipping more often now, not enough to stall out, but its alot more common.
