mhm yeah, but the bodywork of the car gottq be either how the Toyota or the Subaru gonna look like right? that style rather looks like Subaru's than Toyota's to me.

I think it looks like a Toyota. The base car, and the car with the optional "looks fast" package. The front, side sill, rear, and wing look exactly like that package did on the last Celica.

Very doubtful that any of that body-kit add on stuff is functional though. It's not really very useful to put downforce adding bits on a car that doesn't have a covered underbody or a high top speed....it'd just cut the top speed down further without providing much downforce.

An add-on front lip can be quite useful for eliminating front lift however....but the lip on the car, even with the bodykit, doesn't extend far enough out or down to really do anything.

With as many curvy roads as there are in my area, I'm not too concerned with top speed. It's very unlikely that I'll ever get this thing up to 125 on my favorite roads... Give me downforce.

and remember, kids. Obey all traffic laws!

BBS used to make a fan attachment for their wheels. Very rare though.

Yeah you're not going to be getting any downforce at the speeds that you drive a twisty road at. The aerodynamic devices on road cars dont even start to get effective until speeds are faster than what you'll be driving on a regular basis, and contribute nothing but additional weight at auto-cross speeds.

That's exactly what I was trying to get at. This car isn't going to be fast enough to NEED high downforce. That, and any add-ons that are designed to add noticable downforce at speeds less than 80mph will be so extreme that you can kiss any kind of gas mileage you might get goodbye.

I really hope those rounded headlights and funky tails don't make it to production. They absolutely kill the look of the vehicle. It's like a Chinese knock off of the concept

To be fair, most production cars do look like Chinese knock offs of the concepts that spawned them.

Just look at the Volt for example. The concept was kinda sweet looking. Then the production model rolled around and we got an electric Malibu

Hate the tailights too

Wow, we had the FT-86 and the FRS with good tailights, most hated the FT86II. What's so hard to figure out? The tail end on this mule/prototype is ugly.
Again - FT-86 and FRS good, Weird out of place FT-86II bad.
Not hard to figure out Toyota/Subaru.
As far as those saying that we shouldn't expect the car to look like the FRS concept. It won't, but there is no reason why it couldn't. Just like most sports cars in this price range, they could offer the same look in a base and turbo model. The turbo model recouping the loss on the base model. This has been done as long as I can remember. Take for instance the supra, 300z, sky, 91+ MR2, etc. All used the same method to put an exotic-for-the-time car into the hands of those that couldn't have afforded the look otherwise.

to be honest with you, the FT-86 II looked the sweetest of them all in my opinion. It really caught my attention, improvement to mk I from my point of view.
