I just started to notice the heal marks as well which makes me sad but it reminds me of when I used to put plastic covers over my mobile phones to save the phone from looking bad from scratches. But ironically the phone looks shit with the cover over it the entire time I own it. I'm thinking I'd rather enjoy the look of the carpet rather than covering them with crap looking mats the whole time I drive.. so I have peace of mind that under the shit mats the original ones look good??

I like the idea of the heal plate though, or just buying 10 new stock mats and putting them in storage replacing them every year?

I had heel marks after 2,000kms. I would prefer for it to damage the mat then the carpet underneath.
