It's big, and I'm sure I'm incorporating a figure 8 in the course layout somewhere!

Regards!

Love the road course at Pacific! The run down the hill and into the woods is seriously incredible! Wish I lived closer.

So this event is going to be held in the parking lot right not on the track? At $50 I assume so as renting the track costs a lot more money and thus the cost to play would be closer to $250+/person.

Indeed, the course layout will be in the paddock area (newish paved parking lot) and NOT on the road course. I only get a drift event once a year on the road course and that's usually during NOS Forum Fest...

$50 is just for us to go "play" and learn the limits of our cars (and our driving!)

I'll post the registration link up as soon as they give it to me but in worse case scenario, I'll set up a paypal acct...

Cheers!

Can you setup the registration on MotorsportsReg.com? I know they "take" a little but it might be worth it. It seems like most clubs are using this website now for registration.

Also, many clubs have been known to use Motorsportsreg.com as a tool for registering people for events but "motivating" people to pay with cash/check on site (instead of processing billing through MSR) so the club doesn't have to lose the money by charging the fee through MSR.

Just trying to help. This is something I look forward to attending since this is my "off season" from racing and instructing.

p.s. one thing to note about the paddock area at PR. Even though it's new-ish pavement it was rather quickly/poorly done so there's some very sizeable divots and holes here and there. Might want to identify the biggest ones with cones and build the "course" in a manner that avoids any that could do damage to a wheel/tire.

I'm trying to find a place where I can test the limits of my stock BRZ. I've never pushed a RWD car to its handling limits before, and I'm wondering if this is an appropriate venue to do so (or should I develop some sideways skills elsewhere before coming here).

I've never been to Pacific Raceways. What's the format for something like this? Is there a skid-pad area just for fun? I'd ideally like to learn about my car before testing it around cones and barrels.

Indeed, this would be a LARGE skid pad for all of us to see what we can do with our cars, and have some fun in a 'safe' environment in a manner of speaking. We don't have curbs, or big tires, so damage should be non-existent (depending on the driver!) and no previous experience is required.

There will also be instructors on hand to give their input if you want it as well...

I'm not picky, as long as there's a REAL automotive helmet of some sort!

I wanted to do it without, but to be on the cautious and professional side, let's just get an automotive of some sort in there! Extra set? You've got all day and if it rains, you might make do with just one set. I would bring an extra pair...

I'll be making an extra post about this in the coming hours, we'll go from there!

Cheers!

I will bring my spare helmet just in case. That is, if I can make it.
