i've read you're never supposed to admit to the reason you're being pulled over and to always answer no, i don't.

I'm talking about improving the ods of not getting a ticket. Not how to protect yourself for when you take the ticket to court.

There's no guarantee you won't get written up but think about it. If you were a cop and stopped someone for going 15 over the speed limit, who do you think would be the biggest risk to the surrounding public, the guy who wasn't aware of the fact he was speeding or the guy who knew he was speeding? Take a red light. Which driver would be a bigger hazard, the driver who ran a red and didn't even know it or the guy who ran the red intentionally? Drivers who are aware of what they're doing are safer than the driver who isn't aware of what they're doing and driving with their heads up their butts.

I have gotten out of a few tickets over last 5-6 years due to being respectful and saying "yes sir". If you see the cop has you, dont play dumb, go ahead and pull over in a safe place, pull your insurance and license out, give it to them when they get to your car. It is not that hard. Will not mean anything if your busted 20mph over limit.

I would never confess to the officer for why he pulled you over. Just incase it goes to court he wont be able to use it against you.

true! be respectful! you might get off! besides, when you give it serious thought, what have you got to lose?,i say this because you can bet he's got "something" illegal on you already, sooo! you might get lucky and get off IF you treat him with respect!

true! you are being honest, and he will recognize this, and it will NOT be considered an admission of guilt, because in his mind, admitting to a wrongful act, says "volumes" about your character as a person!
