just putting it out there: there's another track day coming up at Killarney on Oct 14 2012. Who's going?

Ah man... my brain decided to see Kyalami instead of Killarney. I got excited for a moment and then realized it's too far for me to go.

If anyone is keen for a beer in Jhb though, give me a shout ;-)

expensive hobby those track days, got clipped by a guy overtaking on the outside lane and will need to replace front bumper, hood, front wheel,...
as to how it happened: it was a session for newbie drivers, no overtaking to happen in corners and an RS4 tried to pass me as i moved into the outside line going into the corner.
It was a bad move on my behalf, but since it was my first time on the track and session was specifically for newbies, he shouldn't have been racing like that since he's actually a vet on that track.
anyways, nobody got hurt, and there were no bad feelings, even though his RS4 was was a total write-off, given the speed he was going. all his airbags deployed, mine didn't.

Glad to hear no one is hurt but it sucks that your 86 is in for some serious repairs.

Excuse the morbid curiosity but do your photos of the damage?

there was a guy in a silver one who managed to fit a wife and 2 kids coming to the track, and was then sliding his car around corners like a pro... (without the kids

it looked awesome...
i got taken out in my very first round, so nothing to feel proud about..
