Windshield Wiper Squeaking

Has anyone's wipers been squeaking?

Driving in the rain today, I noticed an annoying squeak every time the wipers reached the top of the glass.

I tried cleaning the wiper blades and the glass but the noise was still there.
Any suggestions on how to stop this?

Try cleaning the wiper blade with alcohol wipes, and hopefully that works.

Tried sonax glass cleaner and then rubbing alcohol but that damn squeak just won't go away.

I also noticed while driving that after the wipers go up and then down, they leave a streak that seems to dry up before the wipers go back.

Mine was doing that too and cleaning it didn't help. It somehow went away on its own after a several weeks.

Take the car back to the dealer and have them replace the blades under warranty. They should be covered for 3 yr/36k miles.

Really? Wipers are "supposed" to be changed every 6 months.

Apply two nice, heavy, coats of RainX and you wont need to use your wipers. I cant remember the last time I used mine.

Yup. Here it is copied straight out of the 'warranty' section of my 'MySubaru' site:

Wear Item Limited Warranty

WEAR ITEM COVERAGE is 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Items covered are brake pad/shoe linings, clutch linings, and wiper blades.

Pretty useful for us here in the PacNorthwest where it rains every day!
