you're going to need some good suspension work and tires to keep that back end planted lol.

I have some super sticky BFG KDW2's on mine, 255's in the rear. They would do wonders for this car I would imagine. They're almost too sticky for mine.... I'm dialing up the boost just so I can break traction more.. lol.

Agreed, I'd love to see this as multipurpose platform where you can bolt on some 26x10x15 slicks for drag racing and still have a car that handles when on normal tires.

FBM will set this car up right. If they get traction this car might hit 9's with this power lol

The STI pistons just have small and weak ring lands. For the FA20 they look to be a lot thicker. Much thicker than I was expecting from what I've seen of Crawford's findings. Apparently the ring lands were made thin for better emissions on the STI, but the DI on the FA20 helps enough so they can run much beefier pistons... or so it looks to be the case. The pistons look decently stout for a reliable 400whp.

yes, i agree. that's great news to hear about the motor. it's nice to see subaru finally has a new motor out there with updated technology on it.

Stage 1 and 2 should be similar aside from turbo size and fuel, stage 3 has the biggest turbo of all 3 and a bigger intercooler and injectors. Although stage 2 and 3 are in prototype stages. Stage 1 is for sale.

Lets all remember this engine was designed for FI as witnessed by its turbo variant in other Subaru applications. Albeit with lower compression and no D4-S but still, its beefy from the get go.

I wouldn't neccessarily say teh engine was designed specifically for boost, but I can tell you that it's looking like they may have wlaked themselves into another gold mine (reminds me of the old days with the supra, but to a smaller extent)

260whp per liter is pushing ANY engine pretty hard..... NOTHING in the driveline was designed for this type of power....neither was the fairly light suspension too....

while a few dyno runs is fairly easy on any car.....get it out on track and do repeated drag runs or a track day will really test it to the limit.....I'm afraid it won't run for long....something will break for sure....
