Mechanical parts made no difference. Reflash ECU made no difference. New ECU was the fix (so far).

So here's a question: it's been said numerous times that some dealers reflashed and other replaced the ECU, depending on whether they had the equipment to reflash. I don't recall seeing any mention of the ECU itself being faulty, but TurnOne's case suggests that might be the case (or they screwed up the reflash lol). Does anyone know anything about that?

If you have dropped a code, I would say bring it in. If not, they will prolly blow you off until a code shows up.

I Understand Where He's Coming From, I'm In The Same Boat. My Whiteout FR-S Id Supposed To Be Here In November And I've Lost A Lot Of The Excitement I Had When I Ordered It Because Off All The Problems. (Sorry For All The Caps, My Phone Does It To All The Words When I Try To Post In These Forums, Don't Know Why.)

I bought two now, despite having the problem with the first one. Now I have a silver FR-S and Blue Limited BRZ. FR-S may get lemon'd if Claytone doesn't offer me something big. If he does, I'll keep both. I have a kid in college who would love to have a 2 year old FR-S when he graduates. |
