I made 172.5whp/143wtq with the offset axleback today. That's SAE numbers. I'll post the graph up later.

Not really a plus for the exhaust system IMHO.
People used to bang their exhausts due to the bushings being too soft, hence the creation of KB's poly bushings. They're a PITA to take on/off...still not sure if I want to go through that again. Definitely a put them on once and never take them off again modification IMO.

I talked to Jason today about the resonated dual outlet muffler delete, he didn't seem to think it would be in production any time soon but offered to build one if i sent a deposit. If anybody is interested in that give them a call or send an email, i'm going to go with the Motiv exhaust so i don't need it anymore.

This same problem came up before, back in June. It was supposed to have been fixed?

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...?t=7934&page=3

Since the exhaust has had time to settle into place, a minor fitment issue has come up. I emailed Nameless some pics this am. I'm confident it will be addressed professionally & will post more info after I receive a response.

Didn't hear back after two business days, so I re-sent the pics to the other boss there. Got a quick response, explaining that they are working on the issue, and offering to repair the system while I was passing through Washington. Variances in the stock midpipe was cited as the cause. After explaining that the ~400 mile side trip would wreck my already tight schedule, I was told they are sending some of their urethane hangers to try and help the issue, and to let them know if that didn't work, to which I skeptically agreed. I'm relatively sure sure the brand new stock hangers are not the issue, and personally feel that's a bandaid approach. I any case, I won't be able to install the hangers until after my road trip. The fit issue is that the right tip extends ~8mm further out than the left, with the left side AB hangers both resting rearward of the chassis hangers. It seems that the right side is being levered rearward by the flange and left side hangers. Since the issue is not mechanically critical, I'm opting for patience.

Nameless Axleback Update
Spoke with John @ Nameless yesterday. My AB unit will be replaced with a new unit, possibly with a braided flex coupler to alleviate stresses caused by variances in the factory midpipe flange angle. He plans to have several cars in for test fitting and proceed from there. They will cover shipping of both units. The unit I have now will be modified and put up for sale on their site as used at a discount.

If the problem is variances within the stock exhaust, meaning there are slight changes from car to car, I don't know how it can be fixed. I know people with other exhausts (SRT) had the same problem. IIRC there is one exhaust that the tips can be adjusted (how much they stick out). If I were one of you guys and found the difference unacceptable I would call them and ask for resolution. I am thinking mine will probably suffer from the same problem, because I had the JDM tips installed for a while, and just pushing them all the way in like they are supposed to go, one of them was sticking out a little farther out. I am not too OCD, but need to see how much it is and how noticeable before making a judgment.

I must confess i've been worrying about the alignment ever since I got mine. It's sitting in a bedroom waiting for the car to be built and I look at it quite a lot.
It just looks misaligned at the tips and the hangers look all over the place compared to the symetrical mounting points on the car.
I can appreciate it's beautifully built with perfect welds and love the attention to detail with the balanced lengths 1/2 volume secondary pipes to the tips. It doesn't matter as long as those tips are centred and poke out the same distance either side but I am worried after reading several posts where they are not right.
When I put a straight edge across the right hand tip and accurately measure where that should line up with the left hand tip it's 28mm out. I measured it because it looked wrong and my son had mentioned it looked out of line too.
I was waiting to fit it and hoping I was wrong but after these posts it does look to be a problem on fitting.

Maybe it got bent in transit?

I don't understand how you have that concern and not call them. Just hit them up on the phone and ask them. Tell them exactly what you just said about measuring it. They can settle down your concern rather quickly by telling you exactly if the difference in measurement is intended or not. They are pretty cool guys that stand behind there product 1000%

For a start i'm in Australia and imagine it isn't cheap to ring the US but I could have sent an email. I drove them nuts with emails waiting for it to arrive, axle back and down pipe with cat. It took a while and I wanted to leave them in peace unless I knew I had a real problem.
It seems wrong to hassle them until I know for sure there's a problem which will be when I fit it but seeing several posts over a couple of days has me worrying again. Let's see how the 25 new systems work out first.

The tips should certainly be aligned and aren't but whether that shows when fitted I don't know yet?

For those having tip alignment issues, do you have the offset or regular axleback?

No knock, on you at all. It's good that you don't like harassing, I don't either. I just think asking about a concern for something you dropped $600+ dollars is not harassing at all, it's a customer with a legitimate concern.

Offset.. Interesting to hear about the midpipe variance from car to car.. Im thinking of having a muffler shop weld a new hanger and be done with it.. I love the sound and its made my shifts more precise and enjoyable.

It was a lot more than that, $949 + freight.
I'll wait until these 25 have been fitted and if they have alignment issues I'll drop them an email and let them know I think mine is in the same boat.
No rush, my car has been put back to December again.
