BRZ with TRD kit?
Hey guys,
I’ve been doing some serious research between a BRZ and FR-S and I am leaning towards the BRZ solely based on the blacking housing headlights, HID, and navigation. But one thing I really like about the FR-S is the variety of lip kits available. I only see Chargespeed and Ings+ for the BRZ. I really like the full TRD lip kit and I was thinking if you guys consider it blasphemy to see a BRZ with an FR-S front bumper + full TRD lip kit minus the quad TRD exhaust. I’m hoping there will be more kits available for the BRZ trim to choose from but only the TRD caught my interest. |

Yeah, all the nice looking front bumper kits seem to be only for the FR-S. None of the BRZ kits are doing anything for me either. Hopefully a nice one will be made available soon.
I don't see anything wrong with putting the TRD kit on a BRZ. You'll need to get the FR-S front bumper first and you won't be able to use the BRZ's fog lights or front LED though. I say do it! Make sure you post up pics! |

Why not just get an FR-S and black out the headlights, then upgrade the HU?
Seems alot easier. Cause you even wanna change the front bumper.

it's really to early to say. The aftermarket is just getting the ball rolling on the twins. There will be plenty of kits available for the BRZ soon enough. We should see a good assortment when the SEMA coverage drops.
I was considering the TRD sides and rear. But I didn't like that you have to cut the rear bumper for the rear to fit right. I ended up going with the STi bits. Waiting for the release of the STi rears now. |

i can go the custom route and bake the headlights but i was afraid of moisture buildup and the difficulty in resealing the headlights. i thought perhaps there are some FR-S drivers who would prefer a straight front bumper trade which would be ideal. anyway yeah, at first i thought it was kinda weird to get a BRZ with a TRD kit but i keep reading "toyobaru" and since the car is collaborated together, mixing parts doesnt seem too bad... |

There are kits coming out for the BRZ, you just need to be patient. Personally, most of the kits coming out make me queasy looking at them; I'd rather just keep the natural lines of the car and add a front splitter, rear and side diffuser panels like the Chargespeed or STi aero.

You'd prolly be pretty surprised when you actually get the TRD or Toyota parts. Most will come in a Toyota box but have been produced by Subaru and will have stampings showing this.

When I get my BRZ I'm planning on putting the FRS front bumper with the full Nur kit on it.
And yes, it will be keeping the Subaru badges. |
