dudes gonna wash and paint correct our car too though, you might be underestimating the hours of manual labor that goes into washing and detailing a car. Most quotes I have gotten are higher than $400 for one car.

I dont know about you guys, but my time is worth upwards $80/hr.
As in every hour I spend washing my car is roughly $80 out of my pocket and I am not exaggerating in the slightest.

so for like $200 Airpark Auto Detailing is going to wash/prep/polish/optiguard? That sounds like a money losing proposition unless it takes them less than 3hrs per car. (most opticoat jobs Ive seen are atleast a half-day affair.)

They said it's 175 which is there everyday price test includes installing their paint protection. He didn't care what he installed. 60 for the opti coat on Amazon. He said he would do a free panel on my car if I wanted to see their work. I may get it done there so everyone can decide if they want it. All I know is I need some kind of protection on this paint.

I mean honestly i understand a opticoat but i think if we actually buy it off amazon and then get all the materials to do this it would be a lot cheaper... Sorry but I can just head to my grandfathers and grab his old the real deal buffer (one where it will remove paint if spun to fast or held wrong on paint) and then get it going..... It does take about 4-5 hours to do cause i did my old tC and it brought my paint to another level but he offered it and i might take him up on that....

well damn now Im torn, because both options seem almost too good to be true. (I tried getting my car detailed 2 months ago and I was quoted 6~ hrs and prices in the 600-800$ range.)

Here's the breakdown

45 minutes just to wash your car
45 minutes to decontaminate it
about 3-5 hours to polish your vehicle
leveling opti guard anywhere from 45 min - 1.5 hrs.

....So if this Scottsdale guy can do all this in 3 hours (Wash, Correct Paint to Perfection and Opti Coat, not Opti Guard <-Opti Coat is less hard, is has less additives) Then this guy is really good! I mean for that price, even I can afford to hire him.

I'm honestly not trying to Scam anyone here, these $500 body kits, these $900 exhausts are worth approximately.......$0 when you sell your vehicle, even if you part your vehicle out before the sale your not getting what you paid.

The Opti Guard installation is worth $1000, how? When you sell your vehicle, or even purchase a 2nd hand vehicle. The first thing buyers look for is the cosmetic condition, they associate that with mechanical condition, structural....what have you. Since your vehicle will look better then the market average (most people don't know about OG) you will get a higher price paid for your vehicle, approx. $1000.

I have heard of hundreds of stories where people get $1000 more then the highest Blue Book Value just because their paint is in very good condition, and this is a for a trade in to the dealer. We have a sponsor by the name is DetailersDomain he use to have a Porsche as a weekend toy. He had to sell it to grow his business, that vehicle sold for more then Market Value in 15 minutes after he left the dealership....ask him about it he'll tell you about it.

At $400, Windows and Wheels Detailing is charging you approx. 1.6% of what you paid for your vehicle respectively(this doesn't work if your got your car for Free)

If the other "Detailer" is doing $200 + $60 (Opti Coat <- Not Opti Guard..we buy Opti Guard for way more then this.) +$50 gas (lets say avg. from each person around AZ) your looking at $310.

Don't let $90 get in between Perfection and frankly...Industry Insult.

Ask him to see a picture of his work, if it looks like what's above then don't walk.... RUN AWAY because that's what we call a horrible buff job in case hologramming.

SmokeTrees, I'm going to have to call the detailing police on you. Please do not use that buffer, it's called a rotary polisher and you can and may burn through your clear coat.

Just so I can de-myth people on the costs of polishing. Just materials....

Flex Rotary Polisher $400
D/A Polisher $150
Pads $150 (<- We need a assortment, about 5 each of 5 different types)
Polishes $350 - 500 (We use only the best, Menzerna from Germany)
Posi-tector Paint Gauge, mine costs around $1200........
Misc. (Pad Cleaner, masking tape, q-tips...just know its miscellaneous stuff) $25 per detail.

And don't forget Windows and Wheels is a 2 person team, so the labour to for two people.....but as you can see we already went over the what we charge.

Please feel free to check my prices with fellow sponsor DetailersDomain (Your #1 choice in detailing products)

Every here can do it themselves, but ARE you willing to do this is and screw it up? Don't forget Opti Coat/Guard is a permanent coating. Its like saying, I'm going to paint my own car. If things don't go according to plan then how are you going to resolve it, I promise you it'll be cheaper the first time around.

$60 is the cost of Opti Coat, we're not only charging you the price of Opti Coat. We charging the price of preparing the paint for Opti Coat, in our case Opti Guard which is better

A lot of people offer detailing now, mechanics, body shops, hell even your barber...but detailing is all Windows and Wheels does and in that we are specialized paint re-conditioners which means we have spent the 1000's of hours in training and reading articles about the subject.

Just sit back and windows & wheels take care of your ride. http://windowsandwheels.com/

Don't worry man, I promise Windows and Wheel's Work to the upmost best caliber available. I just gave you a huge discount because I saw value in this group and because there's a actual group purchase happening so we our costs are lower.
