I doubt they truly realize what theyre doing. After all, they're too busy making sure their collars are popped and their white shades look good to pay attention to their surroundings.

I'd get the new Kia Optima or Forte over a tC. Just saying....

The tC is not a real performance car or sports car, just a sporty coupe. It attracts a lot of what I like to call "pretenders", or "would-be" car people. I'm sure I'll get flak for saying this, but it's true. I've been to a lot of Toyota/Scion meets and talked to a lot of people who own them. Not saying they're bad people, either. Just not real performance car enthusiasts. My stepbrother is one of those people. Always goes for a "sporty" car rather than a "sports" car.

Before anyone tries it, yes I've seen Chris Rado's cars, and they are about as close to the production car as a NASCAR Camry is to the production model, so please don't waste your breath.
bravo !!!!

you reminded me of a friend that was in the market for both of this cars and finally made his decision and got a tc : his reasons bigger wheels 18" lol, more backseat space, sunroof, better sound system he didnt care about the feel of a rwd vehicle or anything.i trade in a tc 2012 i do miss my backseat "mobile motel lol" but thats about it theres no comparison between these two cars ..

I know you were being sarcastic about the 180hp thing but one thing I thought was really funny was that my buddy traded his 2009 RS tC for a 2011 and was talking so much smack that his car would beat mine in a race... well at exposed in Ohio last year we got to line them up on a drag strip and me in my 06 took him 4 out of the 5 races... hahahaha. loved it!

I will be surprised when I see a TC at a race track beating anything. If you put enough money in any car it can be kind of fast. But if you put the same money in the right car, you can be really fast.

Supra owners didnt talk crap about Celica owners because celica owners never compared their fwd celicas to the rwd beast that was a supra. I would still take a celica over a tc though.

i dont see how being branded by scion or anything else for that matter will really make a difference, more of just the people you encounter are just losers that want to prove their manhood or something. more like because you drive a sports car that u get that attention.

Haven't had any problems from anyone in my FR-S. Nothing but thumbs up and compliments. Had a few people try and race me but I never bother. I am in a zen-like state when I am driving this car and this car is not made for that anyway.

I can't wait till the time is right for me to buy an FRS. In the mean time you could give me a scion TC and i'l still drive my old MR2 any day of the week. (even in bad snow)
So if i were a TC owner i'd sure be bitter. If its front wheel drive and not a turbo diesel i want nothing of it.

I'd say so. A guy in a tC came up to me in the parking lot and asked, "hey is the car worth it to trade in my tC and get the fr-s instead? is it fast? is it worth it?"

I told the guy that it's a dream. The car is awesome, handles great, and people that appreciate cars will definitely be surprised of this car. If you know you can handle a RWD car, don't mind feeling the road, like listening to the engine noise, and ENJOY driving, this car is for you. This is a drivers car.

Then he asked me if it's like a Mini Cooper..................

Plus a month ago, I had some stupid kid pull up next to me in a 5 series wanting to race. I looked at him, revved back at him, and said let's go. Of course I had no intent of racing because 1) i'd lose 2) street racing is stupid and dangerous. 3) i wanted to make a fool out of him. Light turns green and he launches his car while I stayed at the light for a bit to watch his dumba$$. So I continued along the street and he turned on his hazards as a sign of being a total douche bag and right before I was about to pass him, he cuts me off! I looked at him and he's cussing up a storm at me saying that I'm a little pu$$ and I have no balls. This is all I did ...

For some reason at that point, the only thing that popped up in my head was Fast and the Furious where Vin Diesel said, "You had me?! YOU NEVER HAD ME!"
