Some cars have leather, plastic or rubber pad underneath the pedals to compensate from making grooves and ditches in the carpet.

I think I'm just going to buy a rubber mat. LOL!
I use my soft slip-on driving shoes all the time now or barefoot as after a few days of wearing my work shoes i started noticing the same thing.

yup serious.

it's not very thick and plastic mats are very easy to vaccum. doesn't jam under the pedals or anything.

who wants to damage the nice expensive 86 mats that came for FREE with the car. Not me...

Heel wear holes just look crap. had them in the celica... not again, especially that i want to keep the 86 longer than i had my celica. 12 years +

I wonder how much replacements would be .. ? $150-200 ?

Anyone doing an alarm system & what type/model? Me thinking Viper, but not the "I can start my car from 1km away" type - ala KITT although it started on it's own !

I disliked the Viper I had (massive battery drainer), although remote start was handy when I was in range on a cold morning. They've probably improved them since I imagine.
