So...I dropped my car off at the dealership today to have the fuel pump replaced. As I pull in, the idling issue starts happening; car idles extremely rough and threatens to stall. As soon as I park it in their service lane, the CEL comes on and starts flashing. Talk about good timing?

3144 as of pulling in. I mentioned the odd idling issue to them back when it was around 2600 miles in, and they said they would have to replace the fuel pump first to see if that fixed the problem. I already know it's not going to though, and seeing it happen right in front of them just seemed too ironic. Sad day for my FR-S.

Anyone with a BRZ that ordered parts on the day of TSB release that had their parts delivered yet?

Glad to hear the Subaru TSB has been released. I'm afraid my dealership will give me a blank stare when I bring mine in. They can't even figure out how to activate the "window roll down feature when door is open" when they deactivated it for tint.

Got my HPFP replaced per this TSB today. Took it in hot and squeaky, picked it up and drove home very quietly. I made sure to drive hard and in varying traffic situations on the way home. For the time being, the fix seems to have worked. I'll update in a couple hundred miles.

Uhm, yeah, my parts are in, by they say they'll need it for more than a day and refused to provide a loaner. WTF?

Some dealerships will be cool and hook up a loaner, but this isn't a BMW.

If _they_ want to keep my car overnight for a 2.5hr job (per Scion TSB), it's their choice. I'm not asking for a loaner for a job that could be done during the day. If it were a BMW I'd be getting loaners during oil changes.
Geez, should've gotten a Scion. |
