First day on the board

Just placed my order for my BRZ yesterday. Dealer said 6-12 weeks...which puts delivery in the dead of winter here in WA.

Regardless of the delay I am stoked. First Subaru, I am a devoted Toyota fan. I have only seen this car once in person, never driven it (like most cars I have purchased). Joined the board to stay current on mods and trends with this model. Will post pics and share stories down the road.

Cheers

New member today. Been hanging out here checking out all the latest info.
Looking to buy(order) either the BRZ or a Focus ST3 around the end of the year. So far I have only driven a FRS last week and still have not found the Focus ST to drive yet.(sat in one last week in the show room - told the ST3 still a few weeks out on release date.) My wife was really put off by the FRS interior, but I am sure it will change when she can sit in a BRZ limited. I am really leaning to the BRZ but will come down seeing how the Focus drives also, as they are both about the same price.

Glad to be part of the fourm gang.(hope to be a part of the owner gang too)

^Have her sit in an STi. That's basically the BRZ Ltd interior but the BRZ has far better seats.

Hey, my name's Chris and I'm a huge Subaru devotee. The WRX was my dream car for awhile, and I finally got an 2002 WRX about a year ago. I'll be selling or trading it in when I receive my SWP Limited BRZ (placed an order 9/28). It was a hard decision but after reading all the reviews and doing a Scion FR-S first drive event near me, I was completely sold on the car. Sat in a SWP Limited at my Subaru dealership and ordered one the same day.

Looking forward to any Bay Area meets and hope this forum turns out to be a productive, (relatively) troll-free experience.

Hello everyone! I am a recent graduate from university and I just purchased my very first car -- the silver limited brz. I always thought of myself as the unlucky sibling for being the youngest and was never able to have my own car, but thanks to my awesome brother that was willing to cosign for me, I was able to pick one up.

That being said, this is also my first time driving a manual car of my own (I did get some lessons from my brother on his scion tC). I was able to drive his scion tC around without a problem, but I feel like this car will take a little more practice than I expected... but I don't think there will be anything stopping me from wanting to get behind the wheels on this baby!

Ordered my DGM BRZ near the end of August and was very lucky to pick her 2 weeks ago. Im coming from a Lincoln Navigator so this car is a huge departure from what im used to, but im loving it so far.

Hi all! I've been following this car for a couple of years now. Finally saw it in person and almost bought a Black Limited Manual. Looking for a DGM Limited and haven't been successful AND at MSRP (I live in NorCal).

Great to be on the forums!

Howdy! New (very happy) BRZ owner here. Got me a Dark Gray Metallic Limited, and it is SWEET! First car I've driven that faithfully updates the proud affordable-but-true-sports-car tradition of my beloved Datsun Z from back in the day.

Great forum. Learning something new every day. Looking forward to joining the discussion.

Happy driving!

Hi guys, currently drive a 2.0t genesis coupe, wondering if I should make the swap to the frs/brz, only would do it knowing there is a proper boost solution though. LOVE the styling of them both though.

If you search around, you'll find several companies already have turbo packages out for this platform. Longevity...well, I don't know if anyone has had boost long enough to blow up an engine, but so far this plant seems to take a lot of abuse.

I don't recall how the back seat is in the Genesis, but it's pretty non-existent in the FRS/BRZ. Great place to store your backpack, bad place to put a human.

Haha, yeah our backseat isn't much to be proud of

Hi and welcome! Have you tried Capitol Subaru? They told me a while back they were not marking up if you put down a deposit.

Talking

Hey everyone! Me and the wife should be receiving our WRB BRZ AT by the end of Oct.

We're coming from a Corolla LE that was a collage car. Loved it, as far as affordable sedans go. The interesting thing is, we have had, and still have, lots of fun in our Corolla; soft suspension, thin tires, FR platform and all.

We can't wait for our car to arrive! We plan on driving it as a daily driver with occasional driving trips. That's one of the reasons we went with the AT. Neither of us really want to learn manual and have had a lot of fun in our AT Corolla. When it comes to daily driving, AT is good lazy fun. And if we want to make quick passes, or have uphill gear control, we have the manual paddle shifters!

And anyway, if we want to buy a manual down the road, we'll sell this one and buy a new one! Should be better by then anyhow.

I've hung out at BRZ Club's website, but after often coming here for the tons of information, I figured I should sign up so I can join the growing Subyota army!

Well, we look forward to chatting with all of you!

I feel like I can just drive this car right on the edge of the friction circle. What a satisfying ride in terms of...everything!"

Hi everyone! I just paid a reservation for a Subaru BRZ yesterday! Hope fully i get an allocation next year. I'm from the Philippines and stocks will start to arrive December this year. The dealership told me that i may be able to get mine month of March 2013. I'm more or less 150th in queue. So many fans of this great car in our country. I'm hopeful to get great stuff here in this forum. All the best to everyone!
