I do like the way it sounds but I'm also going to be getting the Airaid intake :/

The exhaust sounds throaty, it's not that annoying fart can sound at all. Maybe I may have to get used to it, haven't had an exhaust since my 02 wrx and it have the apexI gtspec and I loved that exhaust. When my tuner took it out it didn't sound that loud when I was watching him drive off. I'll let the guys at the next meet be the judge.

The Perrin exhaust is pretty quiet, when you go WOT it has nice tone.

JM auto provided me with the exhaust, they were great to work with. Ask for Joe and he will take care of you, they have other exhausts as well.

I'd look to the thread about intake comparos. Apparently they dynoed an AIRAID and it made LESS horsepower and torque.

Guys we have boat loads of videos on this exhaust. And were the first to install one on our FR-S. We have been running it for two weeks now without any issues at all. Even a 6 hour road trip in it.

But it also said on Airaid's install guide that its recommended to remove the snorkel, the snorkel wasn't removed during the testing in that thread.

@Style Here's my experience with it

Big shout out to FT-86 SpeedFactory for hosting the group buy and offering amazing pricing!

This exhaust is amazing! The moment I fired up the car after the install I fell in love with my car all over again. This exhaust finally unleashed, pun intended, the sound of that boxer powerplant. There is no drone when cruising, it has a deep throaty aggressive sound during acceleration, and it sounds pure evil when down shifting.

This exhaust is probably too loud for most of the people out there but for me it couldn't get any closer to perfect. I love it. If invidia releases a front pipe/over pipe I am definitely purchasing both.

Go to my journal to see pics of the exhaust and install.

Honestly, would cops give me crap for this exhaust? I'm coming from a 1992 camry 335,000 miles. So I wouldn't know with my brand new FR-S. Any tips? Just go on cruise? Do I not go past 2500 RPM so the cop won't hear the noise? Let me know. Thanks!

I have driven next to cops on several occasions, both while cruising on the highway, accelerating with traffic, and down shifting. I was a little nervous at first but no cop has bothered me at all and they are pretty strict in Las Vegas. If you come upon a cop and get nervous, upshift into a higher gear and that will drop the RPM's, DO NOT just simply let out of the throttle as this exhaust is very loud when deccelerating lol.

Has anybody dyno'd this exhaust yet to see if its making any gains? I'm so close to buying, but I want to make sure it is functional along with its amazing sound.
