In Fast Five when he (and the other people in their crew) had been identified by The Rock, his name shows up as "Han Seoul-Oh," which is a bit Korean-ish (and a pun on Han Solo from Star Wars). I think Jeremy Lin has enough integrity to be accurate in certain portrayals (as in the Tokyo Drift behind-the-scenes/director's commentary he talks about having met with actual Yakuza members to figure out how to portray them accurately) and probably won't be casting Asian guys to play a completely different Asian nationality (unless it's one where they are truly similar in appearance without being obvious to Asian people, like in the first one where they had a Korean and a Filipino both portraying Chinese people). |

I like the line where Han goes, "Why can't you just get yourself an Asian girl like the rest of the white guys?"

Dude, maybe it's me but I thought Tokyo Drift was the absolute bottom of the series. I mean 2F2F was kind of bad, but then TD totally sucked for me. The actors were terrible (even by F&F standards), the only redeeming quality was Sung's character. And that sweet orange RX-7? he was driving. Maybe it was because I had already seen the live-action version of Initial-D but I felt like that was a far better "drift-racing-type movie" than TD... even if that one did also in hindsight have terrible acting as well, the driving sequences were so much better. I do feel like with F&F and F5 the series picked up again, I mean it had to after hitting rock bottom with Tokyo Drift.
On another note, what I do fear with the release of this movie will be, the increased po-po attention to import cars and modified cars in general. If the BRZ gets some star attention on the big screen, I dread being pulled over shortly thereafter by LE who are thinking in their minds, "oh there goes one of them F&F type cars, let's see what they have under their hood, or in their trunks..." |

I agree. Should have used the FR-S instead. Maybe actually SELL those BRZs rather than keep them to give away to a movie studio. Supplies are limited enough as it is.

Vin Diesel is pretty short, even though he's stocky. He wears risers in his boots or stands on platforms to be closer in height to Paul Walker (6'2" or 6'3") and The Rock (6'5" or 6'6").
