who gives a crap about the BRZ, thats a freaking 12C!
repairs on that car will probably cost twice the full value of the BRZ.
I don't think you get any insurance coverage at the track.

As much as everyone has assumptions, opinions and guesses about the incident, it's best to keep them to yourself until the facts come out. No-one thinks you're a genius if you get it right, but getting it wrong can not only make you look like a ****, but also inflame an already very tense situation.

Who cares? People can have opinions and this is the Internet. In the end they both pay for their own cars, so no one really looks stupid or cool regardless.

Yes, all you need is a keyboard. Have a clue is completely optional.

Wonderful, isn't it?

Looks like Crawford will be doing an interview with MotoIQ Radio on the 19th.

According to Crawford's FaceBook page, MotoIQ has extended an invitation to Greg Kim as well...so he can tell his side of the story as well.

If you track a car regardless of how much it costs, you better be prepared to write it off as a loss in cases like this.

The McLaren looks like a total loss to me.

Sounds like a mess.

Since it's a racetrack there shouldn't be any chance of a legal battle right? Would the track officials even investigate a crash like this, being that it was an open track day?

Someone can always sue, but you'd have to prove gross negligence.

Huh, a McLaren forum. I would have figured people who can afford cars like that would be too busy drinking on their yachts to chat online.

Joking aside, It's good no one was hurt. It's a hazardous business/hobby.

He claimed on the mclaren forums that the batteries died after the first session. I guess nobody can really prove that either way but it seems suspicious that he would still leave it attached to the car if it wasn't even running.
