Yeah there won't ever be a TRD Brand of Cars/Trucks. Just Models. Just the way the world would explode of Toyota collaborated with Subaru and put a Flat 4 in a Car and call it the successor to the AE86. I almost wish they would, then we could have a whole new generation of Enthusiasts without prejudices. I know I'm going to butcher this saying, but something along the lines of the tides of time will sweep away those who stand still too long. 10 years ago nobody saw the Demise of Pontiac or the Rise of Hyundai. The idea of them making a Genesis was laughable. Yet here we are today. Toyota is positioning Scion to take on more powerful Sports cars. If they choose to make them they will be under the Scion brand. Lexus has their sports cars already there wouldn't be a market for a Supra like car. Scion on the other hand will be in a position to sell something like that. Mark my words IF the Supra comes back. It will be a Scion. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

I was following you until that. Even Ray Charles saw that coming.

I'm not even sure if you're being satirical or sarcastic about that Toyota/subaru comment. And I honestly don't think Toyota is trying to "position" scion to take on more powerful sports car. Scion probably convinced mother Toyota to give them a helping hand since their brand is complete shit. Marketing sucked as well as the targeted people drove them. And if scion took the supra. Everyone will say. Fuck ToyotaUSA/Scion. Americans screw everything up. Lol

I remember this, back during the first prototype renders were made, Toyota was exploring the next gen supra, which unfortunately for us average consumers..the project evolved into something bigger. Which is why you see so many design cues from Soarer/Supra/and even the 2000gt based from the early concept models. As an idea, the LF-A was quite possibly originally the supra...but in the end at birth..it did not have Supra DNA.

If you look at the LFA from the side profile, the silhouette is pure Mk4 Supra. I would have preferred it as a GT-R competitor in price, with the aluminum chassis (3500 lbs), 414 hp V8, Getrag 6 speed, and LFA handling. I think it would've done more for Toyota's performance image than the LFA by being actually attainable. And I also think even with those specs would've handed the GT-R its ass on a lot of tracks. But they would be close enough for a good rivalry. Oh well...
