The BRZ virtually just walked away from this. Looks like the McLaren owner got the Tony Stewart treatment from Saturday's Talladega race.

No videos of accident as my go pro ran out of battery after the first session.
Only have the video from the first session showing I was being very cautious.

Expected. Let them have their fun and then someone will post a link to the video once crawford posts it I'd guess.

Posts aside, that is one of the worst forums I've ever seen from a web design perspective.

Two things that I am missing on this whole story.

1st rule of track driving: You NEVER take a car on track that you can not financially and emotionally afford to leave in the track dumpster at the end of the day. If you do, you are less than smart and should not be on a track.

2nd... Every track day I have ever been to has strict rules about where and when you can pass. In ANY corner is pretty much out of the question, so what was anyone doing side-by side in the corner.

The gentlemen in question both will need to write this down as an on-track adventure and move on. Wish I had enough $$$ to live up to rule #1 when the car in question was the McLaren

Or get HPDE Insurance, it's a lot cheaper than writing off a newer car.

For the 2nd item, many groups allow unrestricted passing (but point bys are required) in turns for the advanced groups.. this isn't uncommon. Now we don't know for sure if they required point bys at this event nor do we know if crawford gave a point by, or at least I don't know, I'm sure someone does

Yup, we just need a video.. Don't the new GoPro cameras record over 2 hours of footage? I'd be pissed if I got to the track and realized I forgot to charge mine, but hey, it happens.
