The trap speed will still be pretty consistent regardless of the time.. You can judge a lot by the amount of speed a car picks up in the final 1/8 of the track.

it's all a matter of time. the FA will hold, but not forever. i give them a couple thousand miles before they pop.
So, true. I was pushing well over 500whp on my EJ257 with just bolt-on parts for over 10,000 miles, and that was with the drivetrain loss of AWD. It would have lasted longer if I hadn't pushed it harder, and lifted the heads off with an extra 4psi.

Unless Subaru has made significant changes to the head studs, I suspect they will stretch somewhere around the same power level. I'm guessing ~600whp. Once I saw that the crank was notably beefier, I suspected this new motor would be a champ.

Congrats guys, great work!

Just saw a civic si make 620whp on 110, stock bottom end, stock head other then cams. These factory mills are getting better all the time.

Anyone see that S2k set the new NHRA super stock record? 700hp stock block!!!!

I'd just be happy if I could have 300whp at 4000rpm

And some good torque down low.

300whp at 4000 RPM? That's insane low end. 393ft-lbs.... at 4000 RPM. I don't see that happening on a 2.0 liter. You'd need a seriously large turbo, and at that point, it wouldn't spool until well after 4000 RPM.

I know I know

Drove an IS300 today and I miss the torquier six cylinder.

The car in this thread didn't make it past 200whp/wtq until 5000rpm.... It'll feel like VTEC + NOS + METH + TURBO just kicked in yo, at higher RPM's.

Well, literally speaking, Don overrevved due to his clutch fork breaking and hit 9k. And he is sitting north of 460rwhp.
