Lower than the sportlines? At that point you really should be considering coilovers, if you care about preserving the handling.

As JoeBoxer said, anything over 1" and you might start to worry about negative effects on handling and tire wear.

Tein s-tech 1.5 drop

This is as close as your going to get to coilovers. Any lower and your in big long term trouble.

I generally dont recommend lowering springs, but if you must i would only suggest Swift springs as they specifically engineer each application to suit the stroke range of the factory damper. They are the most widely used springs in of all pro racing in Japan as well as many Le Mans race teams and Nascar teams secretly switching over to Swift springs.

Heres some more info on their springs and their benefits http://swiftsprings.com/faq.html

Mach V lowering springs for Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S lower your car approximately 0.75" in the front and 1.0" in the rear. They're 28% stiffer than stock in the front, and 30% stiffer than stock in the rear.
Which stock springs are those being compared to? I would assume BRZ since that's what is shown in the pictures?

Yes. FR-S springs are the same as BRZ springs in front, but slightly firmer in the back.

According to other sources, the BRZ fronts are stiffer and rears are softer compared to the FR-S?

Either way, good to know it's based off BRZ rates.

Hmm. I was talking from memory -- I had recalled that the BRZ and FR-S front spring was the same part, but now I can't find my source for that. But yes, our springs used the BRZ springs as a starting point.
