Is it confirmed that replacing these parts fixes the chirping noise?

Just got back from my dealership here in Houston. They are ordering the fuel injeftor parts to get rid of the chirping noise!!! Also ordering new tail lights because I had the leakage in both rear lights.

We probably won't know until the people who got the replacements report back in, which could be anywhere from a month to 2-3, depending on how much they drive.

I think it's gonna be tough to tell even then. I drove my car hard last night in 45-50 degree weather, it was tough to get it hot enough to chirp. After the DI replacement it's gonna be even colder where I live. Probly have to wait until someone from CA or more south gets results to be sure.

what dealer did you go to? I want to take my car to a dealer for the chirping but want to try to avoid the typical "we never heard of this issue before"

Spoke to my dealer. They're ordering the parts for me. Anyone have an ETA on when they'll ship?

Remember to update your results. As you may know, nobody had crickets on day one.

Got mine back yesterday with the new pump. When i started the car the engine sounded meaner and louder. I noticed a little bit of pull in the lower rpms compared to before but nothing in the top end. Still has the powerband difference, but i feel like it's a bit peppier, and I am absolutely fine with that.

Will keep you updated over the next month to see if chirp comes back, but i sat and listened to the engine after i got home and all in all it sounded MUCH better.

I can't believe it. I have to bring my damn car in to "verify" the issue. This is absurd.

1) The noise was noted by a Subaru FSE while my car was 27 days at the dealer for CEL/P0019. At this time, it was still "normal operation."
2) The noise was supposed to be verified while my car was in for the window switch, by direct request of my CSR. I'm guessing she forgot to actually ask the dealer to do the check.
3) I SENT A DAMN RECORDING OF THE CHIRP, the FFT showing significant acoustic energy between 5-5.5kHz, AND a band pass filtered version of the recording isolating the chirp.

I specifically asked that SoA make it not the dealership's problem to order these parts. Just get the PO in place and get the parts on the way to the dealer. But no. No. I have to bring it in, to verify what should have already been verified, and what shouldn't even NEED to be verified -- because I sent in a recording, but also because so many damn things have gone wrong in this process, they really ought to just say "yes sir" and send the effin' parts.

Not the heads up play here, Subaru.

As ever, nothing is done proactively.
