My TC light went off a week ago and two days ago my CEL magically went off as well. The car has returned to life out of limp mode and is performing optimally.
I am still waiting to hear back from my dealer but will be pursuing the ECU replacement if they have one available or this issue comes back. Thanks for everyone's continuing updates! |

Not sure really. Going to get my brother in law to hook up his scanner to it and see what flash # is on it, and compare it with ones posted on here when the issue first came to light, hopefully this will help

^ looks like subaru went to work for you Rohan.
Called up my dealership and gave them a piece of my mind. Pretty sure the assistant manager was nearly in tears. They apparently don't have any parts for me yet and toyota canada hasn't released a "fix" for the problem. |

I'm definitely sending positive vibes to all who are affected. I can imagine the frustration. It was good to see though that the auto magazines are all over the story and brought up the heat to corporate. There is officially focus on getting this fixed now I'm sure. |

CEL popped this morning when I started the car... drove about 15 km to work and then the light magically disapeared.
Thank God for FT86 forum...!!! If I wasn't aware it was a known issue, I would've freaked out. I don't know if I should call my dealer right away, or wait for it to pop back up... Sucks... just as winter and the cold temperature shows up... |
